Not like riding a bike

After writing my first test in computer science I realized the importance of practicing coding. At home I would always just go over the tutorials and practices once, but on the test all I could draw were blanks. I thought coding was like riding a bike, if you can do it once, you'll never forget. Now I know that it's more like playing guitar because it requires more effort and consistent repetition in order to understand thoroughly. The history portion of the test came quite naturally, as I've been taught to memorize facts all through high school. However the coding was very much like learning a new language and in the future I'll be sure to give it more attention.
